Riga – the capital city of Latvia and the largest city in the Baltic States; is located on the bank of the river Daugava near the Baltic Sea. Deep history, ancient and modern architecture, restaurants, cafes, bars and parks found in Riga will leave unforgettable impression to the visitor. The city is full of cultural life, providing numerous museums, theatres and concert halls. During the tour we will visit Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s church, guild houses that once belonged to the merchants of Hanseatic League, the Sweden gate, the ensemble of three buildings erected in the Middle Ages and often called the three brothers, St. Jacob’s church, Parliament House, the old Riga Castle, the Tower of Sand, Livu square, Latvian National Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the beautiful Statue of Liberty and the surrounding park with its water channels..

In the evening free time to discover the city on your own.

In the morning after checking-out from the hotel sightseeing tour to one of the most beautiful vocational places in Latvia – Jurmala, just 30 km from Riga.

Jurmala – the largest Latvian summer and health resort, only 25 km highway drive from Riga. The town is located on the coast of the Gulf of Riga and occupies a 32 km length coast line. Because of the surrounding nature and natural resources Jurmala classifies in two categories of health resorts – balneological and of the marine climate. This is a perfect place to fill your lungs with ionized sea and pine resin aroma enriched air. In the town you will also be able to enjoy wooden architecture, which includes modern classicism, Art Nouveau and National Romanticism styles. Facades of buildings are often decorated with carved wood, providing a unique look. Another good place to spend your time is Joma pedestrian avenue, where you will find plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars and souvenir shops. In Jurmala is also located a modern water amusement park which can be another good place to relax, to rest or just enjoy different saunas, pools and water attractions.
