We will start with sightseeing the city center of St Petersburg. On our way will be Nevsky Prospect Street, Winter Palace of Peter the Great by Neva River, multidomed Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood, St Isaac’s Square, Bronze Horseman – most famous statue of Peter the Great and eastern tip of Vasilevsky Island called Strelka. As well as Peter and Paul Fortress.
Afterwards we will drive to another heritage of Peter the Great – Peterhof Palaces and Parks, often called a “Russian Versailles”. Grand Peterhof Palace we will see only from the outside and we will focus on Peterhof Fountain Park. You will discover fabulous fountains here including Grand Cascade – symphony of over 140 fountains engineered in part by Peter himself. We will end up with a stroll along the Finnish Gulf with panoramic view over St Petersburg and go back to the center by Hydrofoil which enables quick and pleasant ride.
Time for lunch
Then we will go to the most famous museum of the city – State Hermitage Museum and spend approx 2 hours for sightseeing its interiors and exhibitions. When we leave Hermitage, we will have a lunch break and after lunch we will walk along the main street of St Petersburg – Nevsky Prospect, maybe do some shopping there and admire again the city center.
